We at NIE hope you have a successful and rewarding school year. The majority of NIE teachers will begin receiving newspapers the Tuesday after Labor Day. Each of you will receive a calendar in your school mailbox. This calendar will show you the days that you are to receive newspapers for the entire year. Please keep your calendar all year in an accesible place so you may refer to it as the school year progresses. Let NIE know immediately if changes need to be made to your calendar (823-3501).
The newspapers will be delivered to the main entrance of your school. Each school has an NIE ambassador who is the "go to person." The ambassador will make sure you know where and how to get your newspapers in the morning. If you do not receive your newspapers, check your calendar to make sure the day's date is highlighted and then report the problem to your ambassador. You may also call NIE at 823-3501 or 823-3509 or 823-3506 to report non-delivery, but you must do this before 8:30 a.m. on the day you did not receive newspapers. If it is before 7 a.m., the newspapers may not have been dropped off yet.
We will periodically send you newsletters with important imformation and contests we are sponsoring. Each day, there will be activities posted on the website that you may use with the newspaper. Just click on calendar in the options area under the Main Menu.
Spread the word about the newspapers. Teachers may order by calling NIE or going to the website and clicking on Get Newspapers on the main page.
Please call us anytime between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday with questions and concerns. We will be happy to assist you in any way we can.
